Hearing Loss Delayed in Aging Animals
NT Factor significantly reduced age-related hearing loss in a 6-month animal study. The hearing of rats was measured at baseline and then at 2-month intervals, while half the animals received NT Factor in their feed and half received no supplement.

Among rats who were given NT Factor, hearing loss did not occur as rapidly as a normal part of the ageing process, compared to rats who did not receive NT Factor. Further examination showed that rats who received NT Factor did not suffer from normal age-related degeneration of cells in their ears. More specifically, mitochondria, the energy producing components of cells, did not degenerate as quickly with age among rats fed NT Factor.

Based on the study, the researchers concluded that NT Factor offers protection against age-related decline of cells' ability to generate energy, and thereby may protect against age-related hearing loss.
